The Future of English Language Teaching Starts Here

The U.S. - Russia English Language Exchange program (ELEX) offers a short-term exchange program in the United States for English language teachers from Russia. Participants explore new ideas in English teaching, join hands-on workshops, visit U.S. educational institutions, and experience American culture in Washington, D.C and regionally.

ELEX 2026 program is designed on the margins of ISTELive conference, a premier annual education technology conference, bringing together 12,000-24,000 educators, leaders, and industry experts from around the world to explore innovative teaching strategies, AI integration, and cutting-edge digital tools. The conference offers immersive hands-on learning, dynamic networking opportunities, and an expansive expo hall featuring leading EdTech organizations. The 2026 event will take place June 28–July 1 in Orlando, Florida.

ELEX helps educators grow professionally, build global connections, and bring fresh inspiration and innovative teaching practices back to their classrooms.

ELEX Participants will:

  • Attend ISTELive Edtech conference, a premier event for English language teaching professionals, offering unique opportunity to learn about the latest trends, research, and best practices in the field.

  • Participate in workshops, trainings, and site visits to engage with, learn from, and share best practices with U.S. peers which helps to gain new insights into English language teaching and to develop their professional skills.

  • Visit private and public two-year and four-year degree colleges , as well as an American high school. This will provide a first-hand look at American educational institutions and will help to understand the American educational system.

  • Network with American peers at conferences, workshops, and site visits which facilitates building relationships with American counterparts and creating new collaborations, partnerships, and professional opportunities.

  • Visit museums in Washington, DC to learn about American history and culture.
